Students Without Limits has been supporting San Diego’s at-risk and immigrant youth since 2012. We serve 14 high schools within 50 miles of the U.S./Mexico border. Our services include (1) legal support making families five times more likely to stay together, (2) trauma-based mental health services and crisis intervention, and (3) individualized assistance with college and financial aid applications, including one-on-one mentoring from SWOL college students.

During this time of heightened fear and anxiety, learn best practices for supporting the unique needs of undocumented and mixed-status students and families from a legal and mental health perspective. Immigration Attorney Amie Scully will provide a comprehensive and easy-to-understand overview of the laws that impact undocumented students and youth with undocumented parents. School Psychologist Kevin Scully will discuss practical strategies for supporting students whose parents are detained or deported. The Preuss School UCSD college adviser/counselor will share her expertise and proven method for assisting immigrant youth through the college and financial aid process.
